Caveat Lector

Caveat Lector – Reader Beware!

This blog represents my thoughts, opinions and experiences. It doesn’t reflect the views, or opinions of my employer or their clients.

It should go without saying, but it doesn’t, so I’m saying it. The tools, techniques, and methods I write about here are my opinion and based on my experience. Please don’t take them as gospel just because you’re reading them on a blog. I realize thats a ridiculous statement, but sometimes bloggers are given authority because they’re putting something “out there”.

In case its not obvious, bloggers don’t have the market cornered on wisdom, or intelligence, or anything simply by virtue of their blog (except perhaps a little more narcissism than the next person- myself included). Aside from a little html, there’s not much that separates a blogger from a non-blogger.

So please, if you read my blog, thank you, but don’t attribute a higher level of anything to me simply because I blog. Take the techniques written about here, and anywhere else for that matter, and make them your own, test them in your world, make them better if you can, and share them back. Thats the point after all.

Who knows, my ideas might totally blow! If they do, I hope you’ll tell me, and unsubscribe from me until they become useful again.

Cheers

Josh

  • Hi Josh. Nice Voice. I'm headed to Milwaukee on May 26th for a gig the morning of the 27th.
You have time for a drink the 26th?

PS Your linkedin link appears to be broken
  • Hey Gerry, thanks for stopping by and the kind words.

I'd love to have a drink sometime except I live in Minneapolis. Are you
coming by here any time soon?

I'd love to chat either way, virtual or otherwise. We spoke briefly at
Sourcecon, not sure if you remember.
  • Also look at where the good ideas come from. Track over time and you'll see certain source(r)s are better than others, more original than others, etc. Those are the ones to follow.
  • right on.
    this is so important.
    ur the man JK.
